The Shetland blanket – a joint project of the spinners and the weavers of the DFHG – is now finished! The end result is a gorgeous twill lap robe, hand spun and hand woven, with subtle (and not so subtle) striping in natural colors of black, gray, white, and brown. It’s soft and drapes wonderfully.
Make a special effort to see it at the Fiber Sale on Saturday – and congratulations to everyone who worked on this project. It’s something we can all be very proud of – and made entirely (including the sheep who donated the fleece) in the Duluth area!!!
