Both members of the Guild and community are encouraged to sell fiber-related items including yarn, fibers, fabric, books, patterns, equipment, etc.
20% of the sales are returned to the Duluth Fiber Handcrafters Guild.
Contribute to the Sale
It’s never too early to re-evaluate your stash of fibers, fiber equipment, and patterns to better organize your treasures and get rid of the “stuff” you don’t need anymore. Make some money off your unwanted items by bringing them to the DAI Lincoln Building on Friday, March 31, 2017, between 2:00-6:00 pm.
You need to have EVERY item labeled with a removable tag that includes the following information:
- Your name
- Price (at whole dollar amounts, e.g., $6.00 rather than $5.75). Remember, the DFHG retains 20% of the selling price.
- Brief description, such as fiber content, amount of fiber by weight or length, etc.)
This tag will be removed and used to tally your income, so make sure you adhere it to the OUTSIDE of your item or package.
Unsold items must be picked up immediately following the sale between 1:00-1:30 pm; any remaining items will be donated.
Remember, we can always use volunteers on Friday between 1:30-6:30 pm to accept and display items at the Lincoln Building and on Saturday, April 2nd between 9:30 am-2:00 pm as cashiers and general roving staff support. This is a wonderful opportunity to clean house and buy other items at really good prices; make this sale a success through donation, buying participation, and promoting the sale around town and country.
