About the Guild

In 1973 a few interested fiber artists in the Duluth, Minnesota area formed the Duluth Fiber Handcrafters Guild (DFHG).  Since then the membership has grown to about 125 members. Read the DFHG History.The DFHG is part of the Duluth Art Institute and has a Fiber Studio and a Guild Library in Duluth Depot, St Louis County Heritage & Arts Center.

From beginners to experts…

Our membership is varied and everyone is welcome!  We are complete beginners and seasoned experts.  We are young and old. We are women and men.  We share in common an interest in the fiber arts and a desire to gather with those who share our passion. Learn more about membership.

Our Mission

The mission of the Duluth Fiber Handcrafters Guild is to support and promote an understanding and appreciation of the fiber arts and also to support the development of individual creative potential.
